Ladies and Gentlemen, I am now the proud owner of a computer ;)
Hello sleepless nights, (not that I'm not already used to that) Grey's Anatomy, and lots of blogging!
I know this seems silly. You're probably thinking "why is she so excited over a computer? It's the 21st century..."
We're poor. Don't rub it in.
You may be wondering how I kept up on my facebook statuses and blogging up until now...
my iPhone. And I'm pretty sure I wore it down from so much activity. It's definitely been yelling at me lately and taking it's own breaks by shutting down randomly. I know that's not a good sign.
More importantly...
Now that I have a computer, I can start my online classes :)) Super duper excited to get that whole process moving along!!! :)
and of course, my Grey's.
How i have missed my Grey's. I haven't had any way to watch my show. We don't have Netflix, because we don't have a way of streaming it. We have small TV and cable programming.
Again, we're poor.
However, I can now get Netflix thru my computer...OR watch Grey's on Hulu ;)
They have all the seasons and episodes. I checked ;)
I'm on season 4 and I believe the rest of the world is ready for season 8.
I have some serious catching up to do.
Other news...
This weekend is Labor Day weekend and a four day weekend for the hubby at that :)
We've already got a busy weekend planned ahead.
Friday day, I have a little something going on in preparation for Christopher's birthday. I can't spill the beans here, because he reads this blog. But you will find out when he does!
Friday night, we're attending a game night with some friends. ;) Everyone is bringing an dessert appetizer... I haven't yet figured out what I will bring.
Saturday, we have plans to spend the day in downtown New Orleans with the Spitzenberger's and then to the New Orleans "Cool Zoo".
I think Rowen will have blast. They have a train ride thru the safari and a dinosaur exhibit. As well as a water park :)
Sunday, we have amazing plans to be as lazy as possible at home.
We <3 Lazy Sunday's.
Monday, we will be headed to Pensacola, Florida. Also with the Spitzenbergers. :)
We <3 the Spitzenbergers.
Were pretty sure the Spitzenbergers <3 us. ;)
Chris did tell me that there is a possible tropical storm headed our way for the weekend. ;(
I really, really, really, really hope not.
But you can't stop mother nature.
My back up plan is a 4 day weekend of catching up on Greys ;)
You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus

Rowen & Beast
Beast and Rowen have become the best of friends. <3
Rowen drags a long piece of string down the hallway and back up and Beast chases the string. Rowen is tickled to death by this. Beast is a tabby and tabby cats are extremely flexible and agile.
Rowen also plays with Beast by tossing a small ball up into the air and bouncing it off the higher part of the hallway wall. And like a ninja, Beast jumps up onto the opposite side of the wall to catch the ball mid-air. It's amazing. If I knew how to upload a video on here, I'd be all over it. It is seriously the craziest thing. I've never seen a cat jump so high off just the floor. And Beast isn't the smallest kitty in the world. He's a Beast. =] But he has no limits to his flexibility.
Anyway, Beast is literally Rowen's little buddy.
Rowen came up to me today and started laughing saying that Beast gave him kisses on his cheek. =]
Beast does give the cutest little nose kisses. Beast is a very affectionate cat. He also knows when Rowen is sad or in trouble. He usually hops in Rowen's lap and starts demanding attention by giving kisses or rubbing his body against Rowen's. I love this. <3
I recently taught Rowen how to feed them and how much food to give them. Of course, this is another reason why Beast loves Rowen even more. Who doesn't love the hand that feeds you?
They really do grow closer and closer everyday. They lay together on the couch and Beast will often just sit and watch Rowen while he plays in his room. It's so adorable.
And just now, I went to check on Rowen to make sure he was asleep and all covered up. Sure enough, he was all covered up. He had his blankie on one side and a giant Beasters sprawled out on the other. =] He had his paws stretched above his head and his belly was hanging out just barely touching Rowen's belly, with his back paws pointed straight down.
Funny thing is, when Beasters is stretched out like that, he's almost as tall as Rowen. <3

Snotty Face
Rowen has a cold. :( His nose is all runny and he's all clogged up and he overall just feels icky.
However, there is one good thing about Rowen being sick... That sounds bad but really...
Rowen is normally so independent and loves to do things by himself. He is also at the age where cuddling with mom is "lame."
But when Rowen is sick , he loves to cuddle and to be held. :)
Also, surprisingly, Rowen is nicer and a lot less demanding when he's sick. "Please" & "Thank you's" come so naturally. He's the perfect little gentleman when he is ill.
A super sweet moment from Rowen today...
"this is the most bootiful baby I ever seen"... as he caresses Addison's little baby head. So sweet. I couldn't help but kiss his snot covered face :)
Speaking of Addison, she's teething. :( I seriously thought I had at least a couple more months until I had to endure the cranky, fussy, non-stop crying, clingy baby.
But no.
I literally cannot put her down or she cries her little baby eyes out.
And she gets REALLY upset. Like, real baby tears stream down her cheeks. It's the saddest thing ever.
She's still quite little. She normally sleeps through most of the day. Such as a two month old would. Today, she only slept for the few minutes she'd fall asleep on the boob. But as soon as I moved her to the crib or the swing, the tears poured.
During Rowen's nap time, I tried laying her down on my bed with the fan on high, lights off, and blinds closed. It was peaceful and I wish I could have fallen asleep. But I knew there was no point because in less than two hours, we'd be leaving for a dinner on base.
She fell asleep laying next to me. I decided now would be a good time to enjoy a nice hot bath. I snuck out of bed and managed to run some bathwater without her waking.
And then, as soon as I slipped in and relaxed all my muscles and bones and closed my eyes...
They shot open to the sounds of her cries.
My nice, hot, relaxing bath turned into a 3 minute tub hair-wash.
Oh well. Maybe next time...

Bajenga & Pee-Pee Man
What an awesome first posting entry. =]
I have Rowen to thank, because not 10 minutes ago, he gave me the inspiration for this title...
Rowen is three. A little too young to be asking about penises and vaginas in my opinion.
Where did Rowen pick up the name pee-pee man? I have no clue. He came running into the kitchen one day holding his "pee-pee man" saying that it hurt. When I pulled down his pants and underwear, I found a little ant had attached itself to his pee-pee man.
I know, bummer right?
As it turns out, Rowen had just recently destroyed an ant hill with his toy cars...
Karma's a B.
Anyway, he's been calling it a pee-pee man ever since.
Addison, (2 months) has been growing like a weed in front of her young brothers eyes. And of course, he has questions.
For instance, "where is Addison's pee-pee man?" He asked during a diaper change.
I don't do well under pressure.
I realized then, that what I decided to tell him at that moment, he would forever correlate to what little girls have between their legs.
Still, the first thing that came to my mind was an episode of Scrubs where Elliot called vagina's, bajenga's.
So that's what I told my three year old; that little girls have bajenga's.
Now, Rowen uses these two names very freely. Too freely. In public, he'll point to a man or a woman and state whether they have a pee-pee man or a bajenga and he'll ask me if he's right. I'm not really sure what to tell him during those moments. I usually just change the subject.
A few minutes ago, the inspiration of this post, Rowen and I were sitting on the couch watching cartoons. I was sitting cross legged, Indian style, and Rowen decided he needed some place to put his sippy.
"I put my sippy next to your bajenga."
Thank you, Rowen.
